Have you ever seen a car wreck so horrific that it made your stomach hurt? And have you ever been so compelled to look at it, all the while thinking to yourself "why, Lord, am i drawn to this?"
I was thinking some about this tonight. I saw Hancock today, and theres a simillar scene in the movie. Will Smith stops a train from crashing into a car, thereby saving a guys life. However, in reaction to stopping the train, he causes a massive derailment.
In the same manner, I believe that there are times in our life where we see or experience moments that are impactful. Wether for the positive or negative, we are drawn to them. I would love to say I am drawn to more positive images than negative, but when I take inventory of my mental imagery, it is filled with more car wrecks, fights, and tragedy than it is of babies being born, or nature and God's creation.
Even as I type this, I find myself fighting to remember the goodness of God. Isnt it sad how easily we will trade our thoughts of our gracious creator for the depraved creation?
Just some ramblings at 2:40am. Sorry if it wasnt summed up and concluded for you. Conclude as you desire.

edit. so now i guess i have my conclusion. 2 hours later. Praise God the Father for his unfailing love. Sometimes, no, all the time, we have got to be willing to let the Lord drag us away from that wreck, if need be. Relying on our own strength to stop looking over and over is futile. We will never, ever, be able to resist. Its wihtin our sin nature to worry. To meddle in others business. To be bogged down and drawn away from Him. So the moral of tonights story... He is in control anyways, you may as well willingly follow Him. It works out better that way.

Ikea.com
So in preperation for our NY Mission trip this month, I have been doing some online shopping at Ikea.com. Now, I dontknow if you are an ikea fan, but i am! This stuff is amazing. I know, I would hope to have more reliable furniture later in life, but for my life state now, its quality.
And thank God for ikea.com. If I had to go TO ikea to shop, I might not see the light of day for who knows how long. Going in that place is just risky. You can get lost in the twists and turns of it all. If youve ever been, you know what im talking about!
